Is the printed circuit board designed in form of card that enable  computer  connect to the network. Network interface card (N.I.C) control all connections of wired and wireless connections to any kind of network available. 

Network interface card provide a huge  benefit to network and internet because it provide a media  to all connections in internet and network.

N.I.C provide  the interface between cables for wired network and internet.

The connections which wireless interface card controls may be between computers and computer, any other network devices or computer and the internet.

Without N.I.C its impossible for a computer to connect to the internet and its impossible for computer to communicate with other networking devices such as printer, CCTV camera, router, switches.
